The Jolt Locator is a GPS-based autonomous navigation device designed to provide real-time directional guidance to predefined destinations without requiring internet connectivity. This project demonstrates a fully functional prototype that addresses real-world challenges in offline navigation, emergency wayfinding, and GPS-denied environment transitions. The system combines GPS positioning with digital compass technology and an intuitive LED-based feedback system, making it suitable for applications in outdoor recreation, emergency preparedness, agricultural field mapping, and educational demonstrations of GPS technology.
Modern navigation increasingly relies on smartphone applications and internet connectivity, creating significant vulnerabilities in scenarios where these resources are unavailable or unreliable.
